The Novation Impulse 49 has been developed and tested to operate with all major DAWs, plug-in instruments, and effects, including Ableton (Ableton Live Lite is bundled with the Impulse), Cubase, Logic, ProTools, Reason/Record, Sonar (PC only), FL Studio, Studio One, and Garage Band. Automap 4 control software is the sorcery that allows you to have rapid hands-on access to your DAW and plugins. In addition, Impulse 49 gives you access to third-party plug-in instruments and effects, including Native Instruments, Waves, and FXpansion. In Live, you can even use Impulse’s backlit drum pads to control Scene Launch and Clip Launch. The Novation Impulse 49 is a serious controller.
