Eight Scarlett mic pres

Scarlett OctoPre Dynamic expands on the Scarlett OctoPre’s features with eight Scarlett 2nd Generation mic preamps and analogue compression on each input channel, providing a musical, soft-knee compression style for more subtle dynamic control. The “More” button lets you double the ratio for more harsh compression effects.

Focusrite precision A-D and D-A conversion

Eight channels of Focusrite precision A-D will capture your performance with clarity, honesty, and transparency; if your interface has an ADAT output, eight channels of D-A will send it back out via the balanced line outputs. With two ADAT optical inputs and outputs, it’s great for increasing your studio’s I/O.

Dual high-headroom Hi-Z instrument inputs

Two high-headroom instrument inputs may accommodate high-output guitar pickups. Don’t forget to use some compression, which is useful for regulating the dynamics of electric bass and guitars.

Scarlett OctoPre Dynamic’s eight analogue outputs can be obtained directly from the mic preamps for live use, or through the ADAT inputs to provide eight additional analogue output channels from your DAW.

About ADAT

ADAT is a simple technique to add more I/O channels to your system using an optical cable. A single light pipe can transport up to eight audio channels. Simply connect the OctoPre’s ADAT output to the ADAT input on your interface, select your sample rate and clock source, and you’re ready to go. Many Focusrite and third-party interfaces support ADAT I/O.
