The Fluid Audio DS5 stands have custom-formulated rubberized silicone feet that provide significant acoustic isolation. Tilt can also be set to one of three angles: flat, three, or six degrees of tilt. Elevating your monitors to ear level results in a better on-axis response. High frequencies from tweeters are more directed (or beam-like), therefore raising them to ear level results in a more full-frequency experience. They are made of MDF wood (the same material as your monitor enclosures), which is both robust and acoustically sound. The “posts” are composed of polypropylene, which reduces the “ringing” sound of ABS plastic. The top and bottom of the DS5 and DS8 stands are rounded off with highly absorbent, 40-durometer rubber feet using Fluid’s patented ‘breaker’ technology, which allows your monitors
