Built upon the foundation of a traditional double-cutaway Stratocaster style, the “Custom” designation brings enhanced hardware layouts, striking wood skins, and modern fret treatments designed to give the budget-friendly stage instrument a high-end feel and broader tonal versatility.

Key Features & Design

• Upgraded HSS / Custom Electronics: While standard ST-style entry models stick strictly to three single-coils, the ST-12 Custom features an HSS (Humbucker-Single-Single) pickup configuration controlled by a 5-way selector switch. A powerful humbucker sits at the bridge position to deliver high-gain, punchy rock and metal tones, while the middle and neck single-coils maintain that classic, snappy vintage Strat spank.

• Premium Flame Maple or Ash Top Skins: To elevate its visual stage presence beyond basic primary paints, the Custom series adds a gorgeous flame maple or ash veneer skin beneath its gloss burst finish (available in striking choices like Dark Knight burst, Blue burst, and Black burst).

• Comfort-Carved Fretboard with Rounded Ends: The 22-fret fingerboard (available in a bright hard maple or rich Indian rosewood) features medium-jumbo frets with hand-finished rounded ends. This treatment completely eliminates the sharp fret edges common on budget guitars, greatly improving lateral slide comfort during long practice sessions.

• Balanced Poplar or Basswood Body: Utilizes lightweight, resonant solid wood bodies shaped with a comfortable “C” profile maple neck, minimizing shoulder fatigue during stand-up performances while supplying a balanced tonal range from deep lows to clear highs.
