YAMAHA Electronic Drum Kick Unit KU100

Product Description

The “Kick Unit” is designed to offer a high level of quietness and dynamic response, ideal for environments where noise reduction is crucial. This unit is particularly suited for Japanese living spaces, as it minimizes vibration transfer to the subfloor, allowing for comfortable and disturbance-free practice sessions. The unit detects the intensity of pedal strokes, providing a realistic sound control akin to an actual kick pedal but without generating floor vibrations from a bass drum. This makes it perfect for use in apartments or any setting where noise could be an issue.

Product Specification

The “Kick Unit” is compatible with the DTX430K, which can be switched to the KU100 for quieter performance depending on the usage time. Before purchasing, users should consult the “Pad Module Compatibility Chart” on the manufacturer’s website to ensure the unit can connect to their existing trigger module. Note that while the unit reduces operation noise and vibration, it does not completely eliminate them. The manufacturer provides a 6-month warranty from the date of purchase, with the warranty card also serving as the instruction manual.

Usage Instructions

For optimal performance, set the kick pad type to KU100 in the sound module settings. If the sound source does not have a KU100 setting, refer to the “Pad Module Compatibility Chart” on the official Yamaha website. When using with the DD-75, adjust the sensitivity to a higher level if the volume appears lower than that of the included pedals. Detailed instructions can be found in the DD-75 manual. Note that operation is not guaranteed with models not tested by Yamaha or when connected to products from other manufacturers.
