Universal Audio’s UAD-2 Satellite USB OCTO Custom Desktop DSP Accelerator for Windows

Universal Audio’s UAD-2 Satellite USB OCTO Custom is a DSP accelerator that enables access to UAD plug-ins in DAW applications on Windows systems with USB 3 ports. The stand-alone DSP accelerator, powered by eight SHARC processors, allows for extended plug-in instantiation for big mixes without stressing the host computer and world-class analogue simulation. A bespoke software package will enable customers to select any three UAD plug-in titles upon registration, in addition to the Analogue Classics Plus bundle.

DSP ACCELERATOR

When developing UAD plug-ins, the company’s DSP experts collaborate with the original gear manufacturers, utilising their identical schematics and best units to deliver the sensation of processing audio with traditional analogue equipment. The accelerator’s SHARC processors and USB 3 SuperSpeed technologies enable lower plug-in latency than FireWire 800.
